He began in NY developing Altria’s first wholesale-to-retail analytics platform, STARS, which became the largest in consumer products and generated double-digit growth through real-time elasticity and promotion modeling.
He led stakeholder strategy on the $200B Master Settlement Agreement, aligning public health and business reform through data-driven strategies.
In London, John served as Managing Director and CEO at TBWA, Grey Global, and IMAGINATION—becoming the first American to lead a major UK agency—guiding iconic brands such as Aston Martin, Land Rover, Mazda, and Volvo.
Later, as part of dunnhumby’s leadership team, he fueled growth from £20M to £150M, pioneering customer purchase analytics that transformed retail for clients like Tesco and Kroger.
Bringing behavioral economics to Silicon Valley, he scaled Index (acquired by Stripe) with its first retail partners and was an early investor in ZICO (acquired by Coca-Cola).
